Wastewater Pretreatment
Goal of the pretreatment of wastewater in the food and beverage industry is to meet the requirements of local statues of dewatering:
- pH-value: 6,5 to 9,5
- temperature: below 35 °C
- restriction of COB concentration
- restriction of COB load
- restriction of wastewater volume
Depending on the frame conditions Abwasser König plans the following plant types for the pretreatment of wastewater:
- neutralization plants
- ventilated tanks for blending and balancing
- aerobic (aired) biological systems for wastewater pretreatment
- anaerobic biological systems
For aerobic systems discontinuous SBR-plants, continuous processes with final sedimentation, membrane bioreactor and fixed bed plants are used. For anaerobic systems upflow reactors with grained biomass as well as fixed bed systems have proved themselves.
